YAYYYYYY I just received a new message again from one of my fav. Drum'n'Bass DJ, DieseL Boy. He wrote:
"Y, wanted to see if the cds ever made it to indonesia. hollllller at me :) and if you can come to japan for my tour with fresh, let me know so i can get you free tickets to the show. "

I discovered Dieselboy/Damian's myspace.com page in late dec2005 so I requested to add him up as a buddy. Then, I messaged him and asked: "Can you let me know what are the cover titles of ur latest cds coz its impossible to get any of ur mixes in Indonesia and I wanna ask my fren in usa to help me buy and send it over and my fren is totally clueless when it comes to electronica music. Btw, my favourites are '6 million ways to die/ dope skills' and 'Unlock the secret' tracks so can u recommend me title of ur tracks thats similar to those two records ?"
He never replied me rite away so i thought he was just being super busy, especially since its around new years eve nite and i understood deejays usually performed lots of shows durin holiday season or he's just way too bogged down with work to be bothered making any interaction with his fans (in this case, me).
Anyway, he replied me back on the 2nd of Jan. "I'm sorry it took me times to reply coz I gotta spin for a new years eve nite rave party in LA and I was all tipzy. Wow, its awesome that u like my music, Thanks =). Hmm, the favourite songs u mentioned are actually very different from each other. Drum and Bass is such a general word and theres many more specific genre fallin under it. If u like, I can send u some of my CDs to ur place and i hope you'll like them"
When I read that reply, I was literally jumpin up and down, all excited and happy. Its one of the best new year present anyone could have given me. I mean, one of ur favourite musicians goin to personally send u his album. I am really grateful and touched by his offer becoz, he's really famous in USA and usually, 'celebrities' dun do this much for his fan...i am definitely one lucky gaL!!! Yall can oso see from my quote that he's really down to earth and low profile, i dun usually get any thank u statement from any artist...usually all i meet are artists who think they are perfect and famous and the fame factor make them act, well, snobbish.
I have been dyin to meet him for like, 5 years!! Back in my old college days in usa, he was supposed to come to my city for a major drum and bass rave tour, with lotx of other usa and european drum and bass deejays to celebrate 4th JuLy Independence Day. I had been anxious to buy the party's presale ticket but somethin came up. I was forced to go back immediately to Asia and therefore, missed out that rave. I did mourn for a few weeks becoz I was so eager to attend that event since it was featurin both my fav deejays, DieseL Boy and Aphrodite ( a German d-n-b DJ) and i wanna watch both of them spinnin -live- so so so badly!
Too bad, He isnt goin to visit Singapore/ Indonesia and i dun think i can go to Japan at all in March 2006. I'm too busy with my work rite now =(. But i really love and admire his kind gestures and friendliness towards me, to send me some of his cds by mail all the way from usa to indonesia and oso offers to give me some free tickets for his Japan tour spinning show.
I hope his cd will arrive safely to my house in a couple of days becoz he sent it with really sweet intention and i've been losin contact with his songs from 2001! I'm proud to be his fan, not only for his music talent but oso for his great personalities!
