I was craving for some green bean soup this noon, after I re-read HendriBun's entry bout it. So, anyway, quicky made a trip to the market to buy them beans and some pandan leaves.
Duhh, my attempt to make it FAILED big tyme!! Crap! Too much water and everythin was just too messed up...
I craved even more so i asked my driver to make a trip to the nearest dessert stall just around tha corner. Told him to buy 3 packets and when he came back, i gave him one.
Funny thing, he showed unnecessary suspicion when i gave him the packet...
" Duuh Miss, I'm worried the soup contained pork... (he's a Muslim) "
I went blank for a few seconds, thought had heard him wrongly.
" Hah?? What did you say?? I beg ur pardon?? "
" I'm worried if theres any pork inside, pork oil, pork essence, pork anythin. I think i dun want it.. "
" Duh, r u nutz?? This green bean is so freakin cheap ( its like 35cent SGD / 20cent USD). I dun think anyone who cooked it will actually put some meat inside!! Meat is expensive and this soup cost so cheap. Dun worry lah, its only cooked with water and sugar, no one is crazy enuff to insert any pork oil or pork meat. Stop over-worryin lah!! So, you want it or not?? "
" I want... But, can you juzz ensure me, dat theres no pork inside?!?! The stall owner is a chinese and i never bought any dessert before from a chinese stall... "

If u want my opinion, i dun think anyone, anywhere, in their right mind will cook some green bean soup with PORK! The meat, the essence, the oil... NAADAA. Anyway, thx atas pujiannya. Duh, aku masih blajar nulis kok. Yg chicken Soup itu tema nya GUE VS ORTU. konflik2 yg pernah dialamin jaman teen. hehehe tar beli ya? karya keroyokan nih.
