I was busy looking at some new manga comics and asked the gals (sisters, owners) somethin when this middle aged woman started screaming. She was sitting down in front of the kopi tiam that was located opposite the comic rental's stall (yes, its a stall, like small mama shop's booth, not a shop).
I guess she's in her late fifties.
At first, i couldnt really make out what she was saying, despite the loud volume. Mumbling loud.
After two or three minutes, finally realized she was screaming at the two sisters who keep their mouth shut rite after the drama began. The sisters were too stunned, they weren't even aware, i was asking them some question bout the new chick lit novel they've just added to the shop's collection.
The woman started cursing the gals' family, most of the anger was directed to the gals' dad. Somethin bout money and the dad's inability to keep his words to return the money owed asap.
Hmmm...
These gals borrowed some money from me, sometime in Jan 2006. They promised to return the money after 3 weeks, but havent return a cent yet.
Till Feb06, i still pay them the rental fees whenever i visit the shop but from March onwards, i never pay nomore.
Once, the gals brought up the subject, when no customer was around. They told me they are still finding ways to return the money, and asked me to give them a lil more time.
I've calculated.
They can pay me off, or i guess i can rent 700 free comics from their stall.
So now, since i've learnt that apparently, they did not borrow from me alone, it will take more than a while for them to save up and pay me back.
I shall enjoy myprepaid free books rental services...
No point pressurizing them for it.
Oh yeah, the woman shouted somethin like she's goin to 'patronize' the shop and add in a lil speech everynite until the problem solved.
I think, i'm just going to feign ignorance, like what i did tonite.
